FLAGS FOR OUR FALLEN CEREMONY

The annual IRB AGM took place at Hayes’ Hotel, Thurles, Co. Tipperary on Sunday, 25th of September 2016 at 2:00 pm.

All welcome, All backgrounds, beliefs and creeds welcome. Non-Demoniational. Fully Inclusive. Family Friendly. All patriotic flags in respect of our fallen welcome on the day. Commemoration event starts Saturday 14th May @ 1.45 pm sharp Approximate duration 45 / 60 mins with an off site gathering/ celebration afterwards / nearby , final details TBC on the day. This event will be recorded . Line up to be finalised/ more details to follow: Unveiling of IRB Fodhla, Banbha and Pallbearer’s Flags for the first time to the General Public. Promulgation of the 1916 Proclamation. Poetry, Musicians & Harpist. Historical and cultural information will also be presented. Open invite to attend an informal social gathering networking event after the commemoration. Club na Muíinteoirí Presentation: The meaning of the Harp and why it is our National Emblem. Join us on Parnell Square in the Teachers Club, for a very special presentation on the meaning of the Harp and why we are the only Nation in the world to have a musical instrument as a national emblem. Guest speakers, harpists, recitals and bardic traditions. Keynote speakers and experts will be sharing an evening of fascinating insights into the historical, cultural, spiritual and aesthetic aspects of the harp. These experts and keynote speakers will be in attendance and presenting all evening, there will also be a variety of exhibits, displays, documents and fascinating installations.
